Vintage White Pitcher
A shapely, scalloped edge, curvy beauty - the holidays are coming! We don't know if this pitcher is ironstone because there are no markings, but she's SO pretty and heavy, that we're thinking she is - ironstone wasn't always marked. White pitchers were found in almost every farmhouse or French country kitchen sitting on tables, shelves, counters, in display cabinets or as part of a collection.
This one has a lovely shape with scallops everywhere - top edge, bottom edge and handle. It's in beautiful, very clean condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. It has such a pretty top edge and the scallops on the bottom edge serve as its feet. PERFECT for use at your table, for flowers, wooden spoons or just as a charming addition to your collection.
The pitcher measures 8 3/4 inches high from the table to the highest point on spout, 7 1/2 inches from table to the top of the handle. The top opening is approximately 4 inches and the bottom diameter is 7 inches. The overall measurement across the body, including the handle and spout, is approximately 8 1/2 inches.
