This beautiful, large ironstone pitcher has just the smallest details on the top of the handle and neck making it simple, yet classically elegant. These pitchers are found in almost every farmhouse or French country home sitting on tables, shelves, counters, in display cabinets or as part of a collection.
It features a maker’s mark on the base which has a crest with two lions and reads “Royal Stone China – Wedgwood & Co” It would be a lovely addition to any ironstone collection by itself or pair it with an ironstone basin.
Overall, it is in lovely condition and shows beautifully, however, there are some small chips on the inside bottom and a couple of tiny chips on the bottom base – some minor marks in the glaze and faint crazing. None of these affect its ability to hold liquids.
The pitcher measures 13 inches tall to the top of the handle, its top opening is approximately 5 inches across and it sits on a 4 1/2 inch base.
